Boost strength and tranquility with healing Elderberry, Lavender & Rasberry Leaf
Lavender, well known throughout history for its calming properties is often used with or without warm milk to promote relaxation and relieve stress. Lavender when used in tea is also believed to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, making it a wonderful choice if you're looking to boost feminine overall health and wellness.
Lavender tea is a wonderful drink to enjoy before bed to unwind, disconnect at the end of the day, and reconnect with yourself. It's well-known to help ease you into a healthy and good night's sleep. Drinking lavender tea regularly can even help with insomnia.
Red raspberry leaf which I have also added to this tea has been recommended as a tonic to improve fat metabolism and encourage weight loss. It is often sold as a “detoxifying” supplement meant to improve body composition and overall health which is why I have added a teaspoon to this blend.
Elderberry has been used through the ages to boost immunity against coughs and colds.
- In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add lavender tea bag, turn heat to low and simmer, covered, for about 4ish minutes
- Strain, fill a mug about half full with hot blend and set aside
- If needed, sweeten to taste.
FOR THE MILKY LATTE: (see photo)
- In the same saucepan (rinsed), heat milk, honey, vanilla and (if you'd like it for the visual) purple food coloring until the edges begin to simmer
- Remove from heat and either blend with an immersion blender or move the milk to a blender. Blend for about 1 minute until foamy
- Pour the foamed milk into the mug of tea until full, using a spoon to scoop the foam on top
- Drizzle with honey. Serve hot
I add Anise extract to my warm milk drink, it's wonderful!
*If you have any condition that might be sensitive to estrogen, don't use red raspberry leaf.
